It’s not helped by many of the newspapers, at least in the UK, being pro-Zionism. Many of my Muslim friends boycott US companies in protest of Gaza / the US regime. If more people did it would help. In corporations where money is the only god, reduction of the bottom line hurts.

I just wanted to thank you for this post! I am sure many people share your and my opinion - that it is just enough... What happens there is (and I am for a two-state-solution and I abhor and fully ackknowledge the terrorism from the Hamas-side) state-funded genocide/terrorism and nothing else... It just has nothing to do with defense or war - it is ruthless, careless murder. And it is what the radicals on both sides want - escalation. It is what no sensible human being can accept. I don't know how this can be stopped - I don't believe in boycotting a country but I cannot believe that so many people in charge in several countries look away. Thanks, dear Ezgi!

Thanks. Yes unfortunately the direction it is heading is annexation rather than two state solution which I am a proponent of. As the UN chief said we are at the point of no return. Plain and simple.

Btw: My comment about what I would “like to do” was meant in a satirical way and is by no means to be taken at face value.

I just wanted to emphasize the normality of impulse control for the average citizen and the need to adhere to the law and I find it appalling that the said administration seems to lack both, this impulse control (or any trace of foresight) and the adherence to any due process when it comes to judicial procedures.

Democracy and the inbuilt checks and balances are to foster civilization - when these protective barriers are stripped away we inevitably land in a state of lawlessness which is a threat to each and every one of us. So, I would like to apologize if my words conveyed a sense of recklessness on my behalf - I intended to state the opposite.

Yes. And the Trump-administration’s grotesque plan to build “the riviera of the Middle East” on Palestinian land (and therefore effectively stealing it from under the people to whom it effectively belongs) is something which makes me think of things I would wish to say and do to this psychopathic person (Mr Trump) which would land me in prison everywhere on this planet (but the good thing is: I am, just as any average civilised person on this planet, and there are so many if us… only thinking these things, I don’t say them out loud let alone act on my worst instincts - as opposed to this evil-clown-government).

It’s so easy to be decent but maybe it’s too much for these spoilt wannabe politicians such as Trump and Musk and their ilk…

Most of all I ask myself futilely, again and again how anyone could have voted for such a criminal, thoroughly inept person (it just goes to show how far targeted disinformation and a lack of education can bring any nation - we are all susceptible to this threat: to vote for this person, even if you are a Republican voter, is and has always been an act of insanity. To trust him with any responsible decision, concerning any matter, be it Israel, Ukraine, ICE, the economy… just means you have either succumbed to propaganda or you are a cynic of a degree which is frankly so inhumane that I can’t or rather don’t want to believe it.)

Thanks for using your voice!
